Newborn Teddy Bear Beanies

My Newest Obsession

Newborn Teddy Bear Beanies

I started out with a newborn beanie, here is the pattern I found online at littlemonkeyscrochet:

The only thing I changed up was on row 10, I just kept with the same color instead of switching to a different color.

  Here is my finished beanie:

Next, I looked for the perfect ears to add to the beanie.  I found the ear pattern that I used on Micah Makes.  Here is the link:  (The ears are available in different sizes, be careful that you are looking at the right size! I ended up tearing out a couple different times, because my eyes had wandered to the bigger size ears.)

My 4-year old wanted a "big boy" hat, without ears, so I made him one also:

Blood Curdling Scream......

Okay, so this morning as I was rushing around trying to get my 3-year-old out the door, so we could go to the grocery store for my 6-year-old's 1st grade snack time snack, (which we never remember until the last second WHEN we remember)....I open the back door to the car, tell the 3-year-old to climb up into his seat.  In the approximately 15 seconds that I stepped inside the front door of my house, and put on my jacket, I hear a blood-curdling scream and hear him running full speed away from the car and toward the house.

"Honey!!! What is it!!???", I ask.  "There was something running, I heard something running."  At this point I look around, the neighborhood is quiet, not a soul out and about, no neighborhood dogs meandering around my yard.  (This time....)  Then, he sends me into giggles.  "It was a squirrel Momma, a squirrel was running."   This kid cracks me up!  As we drove away he tells the squirrel not to do it again, or he was going to jail.

Star Stitch Hook Case

Rolled and Tied, So Cute and Functional!

 Inside View with Hooks

Rolled Up View

How cute is this star stitch crochet hook holder!  Works wonderfully to keep all your hooks in one place in your yarn bag.  (I have had mine over 7 years and it's held up great!)  Special thanks to Alli Crafts for her FREE pattern.  Go to this link:  FREE PATTERN HERE

The only thing I added to make mine unique is the white surface slip stitch all the way around as an accent, and instead of weaving in my ends I tied them in a cute little bow.
Find instructions for that here:  HOW TO SURFACE CROCHET
